HERSHEY, Pa. - Freshman
JT Krynock shot an 84 to lead the McDaniel College men's golf team in the Elizabethtown Invitational on Thursday at Hershey Country Club.
The B team totaled a 339 which was the ninth-best score among the 11 teams. The host Blue Jays won the event with a 315, finishing one stroke ahead of Moravian. Catholic finished third with a 320.
Krynock, who finished 25th, began his day with a birdie on the par-5, 500-yard first hole and was 1-under through two. He finished his round with one birdie and six pars.
Freshmen
Chase Oatman,
Jack Manfre and
Braden Paris finished in a four-way tie for 32nd as each carded an 85. Oatman posted a new career-low, besting his mark at the Hood Fall Invitational by two strokes. He finished his round with seven pars.
Manfre totaled nine pars and was even par through two holes. Paris birdied the par-4, 356-yard fifth and finished his round with one birdie and six pars.
Junior
Sean Kelly also had six pars and concluded his round in 46th place with an 87.
McDaniel returns to action on Friday as the A team is in North Carolina for the Camp Lejeune Marine Intercollegiate.
