BALTIMORE Md. – The Women's Track & Field team competed at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational hosted by Johns Hopkins and Loyola University.
Freshman Gabby DeMarco placed sixth in triple jump with a mark of 10.22m (33-6.5). jumped 4.85m (15-11) in long jump to place eighth. Junior Anna Rando placed 11th with her mark of 4.57m (15-0). Freshman Maddi Alexander jumped 3.86m (12-8) to place 21st.
Freshman Tara Hornung jumped 3.20m (10-6) in pole vault to place seventh, this moves her to second in program history. Sophomore Sophia Leone jumped the same height, placing eighth. Junior Summer James placed 15th with a jump of 2.60m (8-6.25), this improved her eighth all time mark. Junior Allie Rolek jumped 2.45m (8-0.5) to place 16th, this moved her to ninth in program history.
Rando placed tenth in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 17.10.
Junior Kate Principio placed tenth in discus with a throw of 24.60m (80-8). Alexander threw 12.22m (40-1) to place 15th. Principio placed 17th in shot put with a throw of 7.48m (24-6.5). Alexander placed 21st with a throw of 5.82m (19-1.25).
Sophomore Maya Colavito placed tenth in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 13:32.49.
Freshman Nakayla Ross placed 22nd in the 100 meters with a time of 13.05. Rando ran 13.18 to place 24th. JRolek ran 14.60 to place 34th. Ross placed 39th in the 200 meter with a time of 27.87.
Junior Piper Nagaraj placed 30th in the 400 meters with a time of 1:10.96. Junior Anna Kale placed 35th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:45.29. Freshman Riley Friedman ran 3:09.65 to place 42nd. Kale placed 58th in the 1500 meters with a time of 5:24.90. Nagaraj ran 5:30.51 to place 60th. Junior Abby Warner placed 67th with a time of 6:08.76.
The Green Terror will return to action for the Blue Jay Tune-Up hosted by Elizabethtown on Saturday April 26th.
