SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Sophomore
Zach Olvey made 15 saves as the McDaniel College men's lacrosse team fell on the road at No. 18 Swarthmore Saturday, 19-5 at Clothier Field.
The Green Terror (4-10, 0-5 CC) faced the first of back-to-back nationally ranked opponents and third this season.
Olvey finished two saves shy of his career high set in a 7-6 win at Chatham on March 8.
McDaniel led 2-0 less than five minutes into the game after goals from graduate student
Nick Wingo and sophomore
Carter Youtz.
The Garnet (10-3, 3-2 CC) scored the final five goals of the first quarter to take a three-goal lead before adding four in the second to take a 9-2 halftime advantage.
Swarthmore scored 13 unanswered goals and led 13-2 with 7:28 remaining in the third quarter before sophomore
Aidan Skelly added the visitors' third goal with 6:09 left.
Youtz capped the scoring with his second goal of the game with 6:13 to play in the fourth.
The Green Terror had six players record at least one point. In addition to Youtz, Wingo, and Skelly, seniors
Jason Fritz and
Will Beacham as well as sophomore
Reagan Wilson each had one assist.
Fritz now has 197 career points with 98 goals and 99 assists.

Riley Pitt each had three ground balls and one caused turnover.
McDaniel hosts No. 9 Gettysburg on Wednesday at 4 p.m.
