ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - Juniors
Charlie Dolan and
Sean Kelly each turned in a two-day total of 157 to lead the McDaniel College men's golf team in the McDaniel Spring Invitational at The Bridges Golf Club.
The Green Terror finished seventh with a two-day total of 628. They finished fourth out of six teams from the Centennial Conference. No. 23 Gettysburg won the team title with a 601 while Franklin & Marshall finished second at 610. Dickinson finished fifth with an 614.
The B team finished 12th with a 645.
Dolan and Kelly both finished tied for 26th. Dolan carded an opening-round 78, totaling two birdies and nine pars. On Sunday, he finished with a 79 with 13 pars.
Kelly shaved three strokes off his opening round 80, totaling one birdie on the par-5, 558-yard eighth hole, and nine pars.
Freshman
JT Krynock also finished 26th to lead the B team, improving three strokes over his 80 in the first round with career-low 77. He had nine pars and two birdies.
Seniors
Hogan Schulze and
Matt Messenger each finished 37th with a 159 to round out the scorers for the A team. Messenger improved 20 spots on the leader board after a second-round 76 with 11 pars and two birdies.
Junior
Ethan Crabb finished 37th as well with a first-round 79 and second-round 80.
Freshman
Braden Paris shot a career-low 75 in Sunday's final round, moving up 25 spots on the leader board with eight pars, two birdies, and an eagle on the on the par-5 eighth.
The B team returns to action on Thursday, April 3 at the Elizabethtown Invitational at Hershey Country Club.
The A team travels to North Carolina for the 36-hole Camp Lejeune Marine Intercollegiate beginning Friday, April 4.
