BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Junior Anna Rando placed fourth in the 400 meter hurdles and sixth in the 100 meters to lead the McDaniel College women's outdoor track & field team Saturday at the Doc Jopson Invitational.
Rando placed fourth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:10.79 and placed sixth in 100 meters with a time of 13.14 seconds. Freshman Nakayla Ross finished seventh with a time of 13.39 seconds. Both qualified for the 2025 Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Junior Allie Rolek placed 18th, sophomore Krista DiPalma came in 19th, and freshman Maddie Alexander finished 20th.
The 4x100-meter relay of Alexander, DiPalma, Ross, and freshman Tara Hornung placed fifth in 56.63 seconds.
Junior Natalie Kaminsky ran a time of 24:00.81 to place ninth in the 5,000-meter run.
Freshman Gabby DeMarco placed 11th in the long jump with a mark of 4.74m (15' 6.5") and Alexander placed 19th with a mark of 3.56m (11' 8").
Ross placed 13th in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.43 seconds and DiPalma was 16th in 33.34 seconds.
Junior Kate Principio placed 18th in the hammer throw with a mark of 25.13m (82' 5.25").
Graduate student Samantha Vogel placed 22nd in the shot put with a toss of 6.86m (22' 6").
Junior Piper Nagaraj placed 25th in the 1,500 meters with a time of 5:34.27. Junior Anna Kale had a time of 5:36.56 to place 27th and junior Abby Warner placed 33rd with a time of 6:18.95.
Warner also placed 28th in the 800 meters with a time of 3:09.74.
The Green Terror return to action at Gallaudet next Saturday, April 5 for the Bison Classic.
