HAVERFORD, Pa. - Senior
Jason Fritz totaled two goals and three assists to lead the McDaniel College men's lacrosse team in a 19-7 loss at Haverford Friday in the Centennial Conference opener for both teams.
The Green Terror (4-5, 0-1 CC) got goals from five different players, including sophomore
Aidan Skelly who also had two goals.
For Fritz, he now has 94 goals and 92 assists for 186 points in 51 career games as he looks to become the 12th player in program history to total 200 points and just the sixth to total 100 goals and 100 assists.
The Fords (8-1, 1-0 CC) scored the game's first four goals and led 4-0 after the first quarter.
Skelly scored back-to-back to start the second quarter and pull the visitors within two before Haverford responded with eighth consecutive goals to stretch its lead to 12-2 with 12:29 remaining in the third quarter.
Fritz had a hand in five of the team's seven goals, including four of its five in the second half, while sophomore
Brexton Carter netted his first goal of the season in the fourth quarter. Carter also added four ground balls.

TJ Bunce won 6-of-9 face-offs while senior
Riley Pitt also won six face-offs and had four ground balls. Junior
Finn Forcucci had two caused turnovers.
In goal, sophomore
Zach Olvey made 10 saves, marking the sixth time in nine starts this season he has had at least 10.
McDaniel, who finished its four-game road trip with a 3-1 record, return home for the first time since March 6 next Wednesday, March 26 when it hosts Dickinson. The opening face-off is set for 4 p.m.
