WESTMINSTER, Md. – Junior
Elaina Beckett scored a game-high 24 points to lead the McDaniel College women's basketball team to a 77-51 Senior Day win over Muhlenberg on Saturday inside the Gill Center.
The Green Terror (17-8, 8-6) conclude the regular season with 17 wins, their highest total since 2015-16. The team finished that season with 21 wins and advanced to the Centennial Conference championship game.
Freshman
Lauren Cavoli scored a season-high 15 points, making 5-of-8 three-point attempts. Her five three-point makes tied the team's highest single game total for a player this season. Sophomore
Teya McConnaha scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Both teams traded baskets in a back-and-forth first quarter. The Mules (15-10, 6-9) opened a 10-6 lead early before McDaniel snatched the lead back with a 9-0 run. Muhlenberg cut the deficit to two before the Green Terror scored the final four points of the period to lead 19-13, marking the 21
st time in 25 games this season McDaniel has won the first quarter.
The Green Terror used a huge second quarter to pull away from the Mules. McDaniel outscored Muhlenberg 18-4 and held the Mules to 1-of-11 shooting in the quarter.
McDaniel made 10-of-17 shots in the third quarter to keep the Mules at bay, scoring 25 points in the third. The Green Terror sealed the win in the fourth, eventually growing their lead to 33 before a late Muhlenberg run closed out a 26-point win for the home team.
The Green Terror made half of their field goal attempts and dominated the glass, outrebounding the Mules 42-27. McDaniel held Muhlenberg to 34.5 percent shooting for the game and the Green Terror bench contributed 43 points in the win.
McDaniel's next game will be the first round of the 2025 Centennial Conference Women's Basketball Championship on Tuesday, Feb. 25, the team's first conference tournament appearance since 2016. The fifth-seeded Green Terror will travel to Washington College to face the fourth-seeded Shorewomen. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm.
