ASHLAND, Va. - Randolph-Macon scored six unanswered goals to start the third quarter, turning a one-goal lead into seven en route to a 10-5 victory over the McDaniel College men's lacrosse team Tuesday at Day Field.

The Green Terror (1-1) scored the game's first goal when senior Jason Fritz scored unassisted less than three minutes in. However, the Yellow Jackets responded with three goals in just 2:22 to take a 3-1 lead before Fritz added his second tally midway through the second quarter.

Randolph-Macon (3-0) held its 3-2 lead at the end of the first half before scoring the first six goals of the third quarter to take a 9-2 lead with 7:11 remaining.

Sophomore Aidan Skelly and senior Sean Maruschak scored back-to-back to end the third quarter before Skelly added his second of the game and team-leading sixth of the season to open the fourth, pulling the visitors within four with 12:07 left.

The Yellow Jackets won all nine face-offs in the third quarter while limiting McDaniel to just 2-of-6 on clear attempts and forcing six turnovers. They also held a 13-3 edge in shots.
