GALLOWAY, N.J. - Junior Teya McConnaha totaled her first double double of the season with 16 points and a season-high 11 rebounds to lead the McDaniel College women's basketball team to a 63-48 road win at Stockton on Monday.
The Green Terror (10-1), who are receiving votes in both the Women's Basketball Coaches Association and D3hoops.com Top 25 polls, posted their 10th win of the season, the first time they have done that before the new year in their 67-year history.
It was McConnaha's ninth career double double and her 12th game with 10 or more rebounds.
Senior Elaina Beckett also had a game-high 16 points to go along with seven rebounds, four assists, and two steals. She now has 1,245 career points, the 12th-most in program history. She is just 23 points behind Kristy Costa '06 for 11th all-time.
Beckett totaled 14 of her points in the first half as McDaniel led 12-8 at the end of the first quarter and 35-23 at halftime.
Sophomore
Lauren Cavoli added 14 points, three rebounds, and three assists while junior
Raegan Lenz totaled 10 points, six rebounds, four assists, three steals, and five blocks.
Just 11 games into the season, Lenz has 44 blocks, the 12th-most in a single season in team history. The record is 83 held by current Associate Vice President of Constituent Engagement, Heidi Reigel '97.
Lenz currently leads the Centennial Conference in assists and blocks.
McDaniel has held opponents under 50 points in seven out of 11 games this season. It also limited the Ospreys (6-4) to just 28 rebounds, the fewest by an opponent this season.
The Green Terror will take a break for the holidays before returning to action in the new year on January 3 at Mount Aloysius. Tip-off is at 2 p.m.
