DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - Senior
Charlie Dolan carded an even par 71 in the second round to lead the men's golf team to ninth place following the first day of the West Pines Collegiate at West Pines Golf Club.
The Green Terror are tied with Centre after both teams totaled a 588 through 36 holes. Rhodes sits atop the team leader board after two rounds with a 562, 10 strokes ahead of No. 3-ranked and host Ogelthorpe. Piedmont is third at 575 while No. 21 Mary Hardin-Baylor and Southern Virginia are tied for fourth at 577.
Mary Hardin-Baylor's Colton O'Dell holds the individual lead after carding a 7-under par, 135. He sits two strokes ahead of Rhodes' teammates Parker Tenent and Christian Iwai.
Dolan began the day with a 3-over par 74 before moving up 18 spots following an even-par 71 in the second round. He totaled 12 pars and three birdies in the opening round before totaling 14 pars and two birdies in the second.
Senior
Sean Kelly sits one stroke behind Dolan in a tie for 25th after an opening round 72 and a second-round 74. He was 3-under par through the first 12 holes with seven pars and four birdies. He added 13 pars and one birdie in the second round.
First-year
Dylan Muso is currently 33rd with a 147 which included a 2-over par 73 in the first round and a 3-over par 74 in the second. He led McDaniel with eight birdies on the day to go along with 17 pars.
Senior
Ethan Crabb is 67th with a 152, including a 3-over par 74 with 11 pars and three birdies in the first round.
First-year
Jack Manfre totaled a 155 through 36 holes and is in 81st while first-year
Braden Paris shot a 164 and is 102nd.
The third and final round gets underway at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
