WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Senior
Charlie Dolan and sophomore
Jack Manfre each finished in the top 10 to lead the McDaniel College men's golf team to a sixth-place finish in The Melee Monday at Ford's Colony Country Club.
The Green Terror totaled a 301 in Monday's final round to finish with a 598. Christopher Newport won the team title with a 579, six strokes ahead of second-place Bridgewater (Va.). Salisbury came in third at 588, one shot ahead of Dickinson.
Dolan finished eighth with a 146 after carding a two-over par 73 for the second-straight day. He finished with 10 pars and three birdies, shooting even par on the back nine.
Manfre also shot a 73 on Monday and finished 10th with a career-low 147. He totaled 11 pars and three birdies. His previous 36-hole best was 151 set at the Dickinson Fall Invitational earlier this season.
Senior
Sean Kelly and first-year
Dylan Muso finished tied for 31st as each totaled a 154. Kelly shot a 78 in the final round while Muso turned in an 80.
Senior
Ethan Crabb came in 42nd with a 158 after shooting a final-round 77, a four-stroke improvement over Sunday's opening round.
McDaniel has concluded the fall portion of its 2025-26 schedule and will return to action in March.
