HAVERFORD, Pa. - Sophia Mitchell scored the game's lone goal in the 36th minute to lift Haverford to a 1-0 victory over the McDaniel College women's soccer team Saturday afternoon at Walton Field.
Despite the loss, the Green Terror (5-6-4, 2-4-2 CC) remain one point out of the final two spots in the 2025 Centennial Conference Women's Soccer Championship with two conference games remaining.
Sophomore
Mack Langlo made a career-high eight saves, including six in the second half to keep the Fords off the board while McDaniel looked for the equalizer.
The Green Terror totaled 10 shots, their second game in the last three in double digits. However, Allie Billups, who replaced Lily Buyer at halftime, stopped both shots on goal as Haverford picked up its seventh shutout of the season to find itself in a three-way tie with Washington College and Gettysburg for the final two spots in the conference tournament.
Juniors
Alexis Keller-Posen and
Carly Brock as well as sophomore
Gabriella Piantadosi each had two shots for McDaniel with Brock and Piantadosi putting one on goal.
The Green Terror continue their three-game road trip on Wednesday when they head to Fredericksburg, Va. for their final non-conference contest of the season at Mary Washington. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m.
