WESTMINSTER, Md. - Junior
Carly Brock had the assist on both goals to lead the McDaniel College women's soccer team to a 2-1 Centennial Conference victory over Washington College Wednesday at the Soccer Complex.
The Green Terror (5-5-4, 2-3-2 CC) picked up their home win of the season and are unbeaten in three of their last four.
Brock picked up her team-leading third and fourth assists of the season and the sixth and seventh of her career. Both came off a corner kick in the second half after the game was scoreless through the first 45 minutes.
The first half featured a combined three shots, three corner kicks and six fouls.
McDaniel struck just five minutes into the second half on its first corner kick and first shot as Brock lobbed the ball into the box where sophomore
Gabriella Piantadosi shot it into the lower left corner to mark the team's first goal on its home field in eight games this season.
The Shorewomen (8-4-1, 3-3 CC) would score the equalizer when Sophie Kilbride netted her team-leading fourth goal of the season in the 65th minute.
The visitors took the game's next five shots over a 22-minute stretch with sophomore
Mack Langlo making three saves.
The Green Terror earned their fourth and final corner kick of the game in the 88th minute and similar to the first goal, Brock sent the ball into the box where junior
Alexis Keller-Posen scored on a header inside the right post with just 1:56 remaining.
It marked Keller-Posen's second goal of the season and second career game-winning goal while Brock registered the second multi-point game of her career.
Langlo finished with six saves, one shy of her career high, including five in the second half.
McDaniel begins a three-game road trip on Saturday when its heads to Haverford for a conference contest with the Fords. Kickoff is at noon.
