HANOVER, Pa. - The McDaniel College women's golf team opened its season at South Hills Golf Club on Saturday in a dual match against Centennial Conference rival Franklin & Marshall.
The Diplomats totaled a 365 to finish 14 strokes ahead of the Green Terror.
Junior
Abby Wesche led the way for McDaniel with an 86 to finish second behind Franklin & Marshall's Janire Vela.
Freshman
Francesca Cadori began her collegiate career with a fourth-place finish, securing a birdie on the first hole. She made par on her next two holes and carded an 89 on the day.

Callie Nelson closed strong by carding a par on four of the back nine holes. Freshman
Emily Landau carded a bogey on her first hole and made par to finish off her first career round with a top 10 finish, one stroke behind senior
Vaishali Bhatt.
The Green Terror return to action next Saturday, Sept. 14 when they host the McDaniel Invitational at The Bridges Golf Club.
