ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Junior Jack Sears led the McDaniel College men's cross country team with a 32nd place finish at the Cantello Invitational hosted by Navy Saturday.
The Green Terror finished sixth with 186 points and were the top placing Division III school, finishing ahead of Stevenson. Catholic also had four individuals entered in the race.
Navy won the meet, scoring 28 points. Michael Bohlke from George Washington won the eight-kilometer race with a time of 24:25.0.
Sears was the top Division III finisher with a time of 26:31.5, the third-best performance at Navy's course in program history. Junior Sebby Breton placed 37th in 26:43.5 which was the fourth-fastest performance on Navy's course in program history.
Graduate student Nick Raumann ran a time of 27:55.8 to place 52nd and ranks eighth in program history for the course at Navy. Graduate student Tyler Richardson followed in 55th with a time of 28:14.9 and senior Anders Madsen placed 70th in 32:10.1 to round out the scorers.
Junior Ethan Bush finished in a time of 32:20.2 and senior Sean Irwin crossed the line in 33:07.1.
McDaniel returns to action next Saturday, Sept. 14 in the Hood Short Course Invitational at Utica Park.
