LANCASTER, PA. - The McDaniel College men's cross country team placed four runners in the top five en route to winning the team title at the Charger Invitational hosted by Lancaster Bible on Friday.
The Green Terror won their second straight meet after capturing last week's Blazer Blitz. The team totaled 21 points, finishing ahead of Lancaster Bible who placed second with 51 points.
Lancaster Bible's Mitchell Gray won the individual title finishing the 5k course with a time of 15:59.9.
Junior Jack Sears came in second with a time of 16:21.1, the second-fastest performance in program history. Junior Sebby Breton followed in third, crossing the line in 16:31.8 while graduate student Nick Raumann finished fourth in 16:39.4. Breton and Raumann are ranked third and fourth in program history.
Graduate Student Tyler Richardson took fifth with a time of 16:56.8 and freshman Amadeus Davis rounded out the team score with a seventh-place time of 17:05.7 which is the fifth-fastest time in program history among freshmen.
Junior Ethan Bush placed 12th in 19:00.0 and senior Sean Irwin followed in 13th in 19:02.2. Senior Joc Baldacci placed 15th with a time of 19:14.9 while sophomore John Hegarty placed 18th in 19:40.8 and sophomore Zac Kane followed in 19th with a time of 19:43.9.
Freshman Zack Davis placed 37th and sophomore Roman Arensmeyer finished 46th.
McDaniel returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Hornet Harrier Invitational hosted by Shenandoah.
