OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson scored two third-quarter goals to cement a 3-0 victory over the McDaniel College field hockey team on Wednesday evening.
The Green Terror (1-3) were outshot 17-1 by the Mustangs (5-0), who also held the edge in penalty corners 9-0. Stevenson secured its seventh straight win in the series between the two in-state rivals, winning all four matches since the annual series was revived in 2021.
The Mustangs took an early 1-0 lead on a goal scored by Haley Palmer 13:59 into the first; assists from Emma Gladstein and Lauren Schulz led Palmer to her third goal of the season. Teaghen Rieder for her second goal of the year, scoring just under four minutes into the quarter. Less than seven minutes later, Annie Ingersoll corralled a loose ball and lofted a shot into the upper left corner of the net to make the score 3-0 Stevenson.
