COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - The McDaniel College baseball team closed out the regular season with a sweep at Ursinus on Saturday, securing the third seed in next week's Centennial Conference Baseball Championship.
The Green Terror (22-13, 13-5 CC) finished with a season-long six-game win streak and its most wins since 2016.
Graduate student
Joey Hubinger was 3-for-7 with a double, home run, three RBIs and three walks while sophomore
Ben Davis went 3-for-6 with two doubles, two RBIs and two walks.
McDaniel 3, Ursinus 2
The opener proved to be a pitcher's duel with the Bears holding a 1-0 lead through six innings. Matt Tuley had a no-hitter through six innings before Hubinger led off the seventh with his sixth home run of the season to tie the game at 1-1.
Davis followed with a double before scoring on a sacrifice fly by sophomore

Conor Henderson picked up his sixth save with a scoreless ninth in which he retired three of the four batters he faced.
Graduate student
Ryan Martino improved to 4-0 this season after allowing just one run on six hits while striking out six over 5.1 innings.
Hubinger was 2-for-4 with one RBI while Davis went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
McDaniel 10, Ursinus 4
After a start in which they trailed 4-2 after five innings, the Green Terror scored two runs in each of the final four innings and had eight extra-base hits.
McDaniel tied the game with two runs in the sixth on an RBI-ground out and passed ball before taking the lead for good on an RBI-double by sophomore
Todd Calhoun in the seventh.

Shane Daly with an RBI-double before Haddock scored on an RBI-single by Davis.
All nine batters had at least one hit for the Green Terror, including senior
Tyler Yohn who went 3-for-6. Davis was 2-for-4 with a double and two walks while Hubinger went 1-for-3 with two RBI and three walks.
Freshman
Ryan Von Stein improved to 2-0 after allowing just one hit over 3.0 innings and striking out two.
As the third-seed in the next week's conference tournament, McDaniel will head to second-seeded Dickinson on Thursday. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
