WAYNESBORO, Pa. - McDaniel College men's golf sophomore
Charlie Dolan shot a one-under par 71 and holds the first-round lead at the 2024 Centennial Conference Men's Golf Championship at Waynesboro Country Club.
As a team, the Green Terror are in fourth place following an opening round 307. Franklin & Marshall sits in first after a first round 295, seven strokes ahead of Gettysburg (302). Swarthmore is in third with a 303, followed by McDaniel and Dickinson (308).
Dolan holds a one-stroke lead over Franklin & Marshall's Roy Anderson and Gettysburg's Daniel Suter.
Dolan totaled four birdies and 11 pars. He birdied two of the last three holes to finish as the only golfer under par. He led the 40-man field in par 3 and par 5 scoring, finishing both at 1-under par.
Junior
Hogan Schulze sits in ninth-place after carding a four-over par 76 which included seven pars and three birdies. He also finished at one-under par in par 5 scoring.

Dell Grieser is tied for 22nd after an opening round 79 that included nine pars and two birdies. Sophomore
Ethan Crabb shot an 81 to place 24th and junior
Matt Messenger turned in an 83 and sits in 28th.
Second round competition begins at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
