Abbottstown, Pa. - McDaniel College men's golf sophomore Charlie Dolan finished the back nine at par to finish in a tie for third at the McDaniel Spring Invitational at The Bridges Golf Club.
The Green Terror placed fifth in the 17 team invitational. They totaled 312, 24 over par and only 13 back from first. Swarthmore won the team title with 299, barely outscoring Franklin & Marshall at 300.
Dolan finished the weather shortened 18-hole event in a three-way tie for third with Franklin & Marshall's Roy Anderson and Swarthmore's Dylan Zhang. Dolan finished with 73, one over par 72.
Sophomore Ethan Crabb finished in a tie for ninth 5 over par 72. Sophomore Sean Kelly finished 6 over par in 17th. Senior Joe Graceffa and Junior Hogan Schulze finished in a tie for 30th with 7 over par.
Freshman Joey Sabol placed 45th, 10 over par. Junior Dell Grieser and Senior Evan Rutherford tied for 51st eleven over par. Grieser and Rutherford had a strong back nine with 38 and 37 respectively on the par 36. Junior Matt Messenger placed 57th, 12 over par.
The Men's Golf team will be back in action on April 7th for the Hershey Cup hosted by the University of Rochester at the Hershey Country Club.
