SWARTHMORE, Pa. - Swarthmore led from start to finish in a 67-51 victory over the McDaniel College men's basketball team Saturday at Tarble Pavilion.
The Green Terror (8-13, 3-11 CC) were held to their third-lowest point total of the season after shooting just 35.2 percent from the floor and 7-of-22 from three-point range.
Junior

David Kearney led the team with 10 points each. Graduate student
Brendan Kade added eight points, a team-high five rebounds and two assists.
The Garnet (13-8, 10-4 CC) began the game on a 9-2 run before stretching their lead to as many as 10 with 5:09 remaining in the first half. The led by seven at halftime, 35-28, scoring 18 points in the paint.
McDaniel pulled within five on three separate occasions in the second half, the latter at 46-41 with 8:52 to play. However, Swarthmore used a 17-3 run over the next six minutes to take its largest lead of the game at 19 points, 63-44 with 2:41 to play. The Garnet went 7-of-10 from the floor while holding the Green Terror to just 1-of-9 shooting and forcing three turnovers.
Swarthmore scored 12 points off 10 McDaniel turnovers in the second half.
The Garnet finished the game with 34 points in the paint, 20 second-chance points and 18 points off turnovers.
Senior
Chuck Contee was limited to five points on 1-of-7 shooting, but he did total three rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks.
The Green Terror return to action on Tuesday when they host Washington College inside the Gill Center beginning at 7:30 p.m.
