WESTMINSTER, Md. – Four players scored in double figures to lead the McDaniel College men's basketball team to a 75-58 win over Messiah on Wednesday night, the team's sixth win in seven games to start the season.

David Kearney tied for the team lead with 14 points each, while junior
Kevin Connelly poured in a season-high 13 points and junior
Jonas Sujeta hit a trio of three-pointers for 13 points of his own. Senior
Lorin Hall loaded the stat sheet with six points, five rebounds, a team-best six assists and two steals.
The Green Terror (6-1) jumped out to a 12-5 lead early in the first half after a three-pointer from Connelly with 16:08 to play, but the Falcons (0-6) cut the lead to two before eventually taking their first lead with just over nine minutes left in the half. The two teams traded baskets to end the half, with McDaniel taking a 34-32 lead into the break after a late free throw by Hall.
After each team made three-pointers to open the second half, McDaniel surged ahead on a 7-0 run to increase the lead to 48-39. Foul trouble from the Falcons led to three makes at the free throw line by Kerney and senior
Russell Dandridge, and a three-pointer from Connelly bumped the lead to 11. McDaniel would maintain a double-digit lead for the rest of the game as the Green Terror earned more trips to the charity stripe. Messiah pulled to within 10 with 6:32 left in the contest, but McDaniel kept the Falcons at bay with strong foul shooting down the stretch.
The Green Terror made 27-of-34 attempts from the free throw line, going 21-of-25 in the second half. The team scored all of its final 11 points of the game from the line, making 10-of-14 foul shots in the final 5:22. McDaniel has made 20 or more free throws and shot 79 percent or better from the line in each of its last two home games.
McDaniel returns to the Gill Center for its next contest against Regent on Saturday afternoon. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 pm.
