Elaina Beckett, the McDaniel College women's basketball team had three players in double figures in a 75-54 season-opening victory over Gallaudet on Friday in the Rebecca Martin Memorial Tip-Off Tournament.

Christin Gowan, advancing to the championship game of the Rebecca Martin Memorial Tip-Off Tournament in each of its four seasons.
Beckett was 10-of-15 from the floor with five rebounds as she posted her eighth career 20-point game. Sophomore
Teya McConnaha, the 2024 Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year, added 10 points and five rebounds while senior
Lil Overcash had nine points, four assists.

Kennadi Johnson had a career-high 15 points off the bench as she hit five three-pointers, the most by a Green Terror since Anna Mondoro had five, also in a win over Gallaudet at home, 61-50 on Feb. 10, 2020.
McDaniel led 22-18 after a high-scoring first quarter in which the two teams combined to shoot 57.6 percent from the floor, going 19-for-33.
The pace slowed down in the second with the Green Terror outscoring the Bison 13-12 to take a 35-30 halftime lead. Beckett totaled 15 of her 21 points in the first half.
Led by six points each from Overcash and Johnson, McDaniel stretched its lead to 18 in the third quarter, scoring 14 of its 24 points in the paint.
Johnson totaled nine of the team's 15 points in the fourth quarter, going 3-for-5 from three-point range as the home team led by as many as 25. She finished the game 5-of-8 from behind the arc.
Sophomore
Raegan Lenz also had a team-high five rebounds to go along with two points, four assists and two blocks. Senior
Peyton Tague added three points, three rebounds and three assists while freshman
Lauren Cavoli had six points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in her collegiate debut.
Cam Lexow led Gallaudet (0-1) with 16 points, four assists and two blocks. Crystal Salit had 10 points and six rebounds.
McDaniel will face Geneva in the Rebecca Martin Memorial Tip-Off Tournament championship game on Saturday at 6 p.m. The Golden Tornadoes defeated Stevenson in the nightcap Friday, 71-68.
