LANCASTER, Pa. - On Wednesday, four players from the McDaniel College football team were selected to the All-Centennial Conference Team, the most for the program since five were honored in 2018.

Malachi Murphy earned first team honors while seniorÂ
Alex Brown was selected to the second team. JuniorÂ

Taevon LeGrande were honorable mention.Â
Murphy received his first career selection after leading the conference with four interceptions, spearheading a defense that forced a league-high 18 turnovers. He led the team with 43 solo tackles and finished the year with 64 total tackles, including three for a loss. He broke up seven passes and defended 11 total. He is the first player since Nah'shon Godfrey in 2021 to be named to the all-conference first team.
Brown earned his first career selection with career-highs across the board. He made 55 combined tackles, 5.5 of which were for loss, while collecting two sacks and two interceptions. He led the team with 10 pass breakups and forced one of McDaniel's conference-best 15 fumbles.
Gifford collected all-conference honors for the first time thanks to a record-setting season. He broke the program record by forcing six fumbles in 2024, the most by any individual player in the conference. He led the team in sacks with four and tied for the team-lead with seven tackles for loss. He forced three of his six fumbles at Franklin & Marshall on Oct. 26, the most in a single game in program history.
LeGrande received his first career selection as a true freshman. Starting in every game at middle linebacker, he piled up 55 tackles and tied for the team-lead with seven tackles for loss. He recorded double-digit tackles twice and made 14 against Dickinson on Oct. 19. He led the conference with three fumble recoveries and forced a fumble of his own.Â
In addition to all-conference honors, the Centennial Conference announced the 2024 All-Sportsmanship Team for football and seniorÂ
Nick Domzalski was selected from McDaniel. He totaled nine receptions for 93 yards, both career highs, including three catches for 27 yards in the season opening win against Catholic.
