COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Ursinus scored 22 points in the third quarter to break open a tie game and take its largest lead en route to a 57-44 victory over the McDaniel College women's basketball team Saturday at Helffrich Hall.
The Green Terror (10-6, 5-6 CC) were limited to just 3-of-9 shooting in the third quarter while the Bears were 9-of-15 from the floor, including 3-of-3 from three-point range as they outscored the visitors, 22-9.
Chinwe Irondi scored 11 points in the quarter while Alison Lisanti added six as the two combined to shoot 70 percent from the floor, going 7-for-10.
Ursinus (10-6, 6-5 CC) stretched its lead to as many 17 in the fourth as the team outscored McDaniel 33-20 in the second half. The Bears also held a 21-9 edge in rebounds, scoring 11 second-chance points and 16 in the paint.
The Green Terror made just five of their 20 second-half shot attempts for 10 points while adding another 10 from the free throw line where they went 10-for-16.

Elaina Beckett led McDaniel with 10 points and nine rebounds, just missing her third double double this season and the eighth of her career. Junior
Lil Overcash added six points and four steals while freshman
Raegan Lenz totaled six points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
The Green Terror continue their three-game road trip on Tuesday as they head to Chestertown, Md. for a 7 p.m. tip-off against Washington College.
