Despite totaling nine kills and hitting .250, McDaniel didn't get many opportunities as the Garnet totaled 13 kills and hit .379, taking a 12-6 advantage before extending it to 20-10 and scoring four of their final six points on two Green Terror errors and two service aces.

Kills by Roberts and Mitchell and another Garnet error saw the Green Terror cut their deficit to two, 21-19, but the home team scored four of the final five points, including two on kills by Trisha Razdan.
