Charlie Dolan and junior
Hogan Schulze totaled top-10 finishes in the Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Memorial Invitational hosted by Allegheny at the Country Club of Meadville.
The Green Terror, who are receiving votes in the Golf Coaches Association of America Division III Coaches Poll, finished third out of 13 teams, trailing only Division II Gannon and Carnegie Mellon who is currently ranked at No. 1 in the coaches poll.
After an opening round 294, McDaniel shot a three-under par 285 in the second, just one shot behind Carnegie Mellon. It was the second-best round of the season for the Green Terror, three strokes off the 282 they shot in the second round of the Transylvania Fall Invitational.
Dolan finished fifth with a two-day total of 142, a new 36-hole best, surpassing the 143 he totaled at the Fred Kravetz Invitational April 14-15, 2023. He carded a two-under par 70 in the final round.
Schulze also turned in a two-under par 70 on Monday to finish seventh with a new 36-hole career low 143. His previous best was a 144 set at The Gauntlet Sept. 11-12, 2022.
Sophomore
Ethan Crabb finished 13th with a 146, including a one-over par 73 in both rounds. He was just one stroke off his 36-hole career low set at The Gauntlet earlier this month.
Meanwhile, junior
Dell Grieser came in 26th with a 153 after an even-par 72 on Monday, an improvement of nine strokes from Sunday's opening round. Junior
Matt Messenger placed 31st with a 154.
McDaniel returns to action next Monday, Oct. 2 in the Royal Lakes Fall Invitational hosted by Ogelthorpe at Royal Lakes Golf & Country Club in Flowery Branch, Ga.
