STEVENS, Pa. - McDaniel College women's golf freshman
Callie Nelson finished 23rd to lead the Green Terror to a fifth-place team finish at the 2023 Centennial Conference Women's Golf Championship Sunday at Foxchase Golf Club.
After rain canceled Saturday's first round, the Green Terror totaled a 416, their lowest score at the conference tournament since 2017.
Gettysburg won its 11th conference championship and 10th in the last 12 years with a 342, four strokes ahead of Marymount (VA) who had won the last two titles. Franklin & Marshall came in third (353) and Muhlenberg finished fourth (378).
Nelson carded a career-best 99, four strokes lower than her previous best set at the Dickinson Invitational on Sept. 24, 2022.

 Olivia Vanreusel finished in a tie for 24th with a 100. For Vanreusel, it marked a new career low by four strokes, improving on her 104 she turned in at the Dickinson Spring Tri-Match on April 1.

Dariel Gray finished 33rd with a 117 while junior
Zoey Smalls placed 35th with a 122, her best score in her last six rounds.
