WESTMINSTER, Md. - Highlighted by nine different goal scorers and 11 players with at least one point, the McDaniel College men's lacrosse team posted a 15-2 victory over Alvernia Saturday at Gill Stadium.
The Green Terror (3-1) have won three-straight at home this season, outscoring their opponents, 40-15.
Junior
Eric Manfredonia and senior
Nick DeLoriers combined for 12 points as each had six with Manfredonia netting four goals and DeLoriers dishing out four assists.
McDaniel scored the game's first nine goals to take a 9-0 lead with 3:27 remaining in the second quarter. Manfredonia had a hand in five of the first nine tallies with four goals and one assist while DeLoriers had four assists.
The Golden Wolves (2-2) got on the board following a man-up tally by Christian Wright with just eight seconds remaining in the half.
The Green Terror expanded on its eight-goal halftime lead by scoring five more in the third to take a 14-2 advantage into the fourth. DeLoriers and junior
Nick Wingo each scored twice, alternating over a four-goal span before DeLoriers finished the quarter off an assist from Wingo with 11 seconds left.
Wingo finished with four points and recorded his first career hat-trick with three goals and one assist.
Sophomore
Riley Pitt capped the scoring by netting his first career goal in with 1:04 remaining in the fourth, joining junior
AJ Johnson who picked up his first career tally with 2:24 to play in the first to give McDaniel a 5-0 lead.
The Green Terror held Alvernia to just 13 shots while forcing 27 turnovers and picking up 41 ground balls. Senior

Andrew Deviney each totaled two caused turnovers and senior
Jason Heeley won 8-of-12 face-offs and scooped up six ground balls.
McDaniel faces a quick turnaround as it heads to New Jersey on Sunday to take on Montclair State. Face-off is at 2 p.m.
