WESTMINSTER, Md. - Junior
Amanda Thompson won two individual and one relay event as the McDaniel College women's swimming team hosted a tri-meet with St. Mary's (Md.) and Stevenson Saturday at Harlow Pool.
The Green Terror (1-6) were edged by St. Mary's, 54-41, and fell to Stevenson, 55-39.
Thompson began her day with a win in the 1,000-yard freestyle in a time of 11:21.61 which was 16 seconds faster than Bailey Jackson of Stevenson who came in second.
Six events later, Thompson won the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 5:06.25, more than 10 seconds ahead of Jackson.

Abby Cook and sophomore
Jane Walkinshaw to touch the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:47.19, three seconds in front of St. Mary's.
Individually, Cook finished first in the 200-yard backstroke with a season-best time of 2:24.05 and second in the 50-yard freestyle in a new season-best 26.38 seconds. Meanwhile, Walkinshaw placed third in the 50 free behind Cook in a time of 27.35 seconds and fourth in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:41.86.
Sophomore
Mackenzie Skelton was second in the 500-yard freestyle with a new best of 6:14.71 and fifth in the 200 free.
Farris finished fourth in the 200 free and fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a new season-best mark of 1:02.41.
In her first meet since joining the team following the conclusion of field hockey season, junior
Tori McArthur was fifth in the 200 back and fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke. She and Skelton were also a member of the 200-yard medley relay team that touched the wall third.
McDaniel travels to Centennial Conference foe Ursinus next Saturday, Nov. 11 for a 1 p.m. meet at William Elliott Poll.
