ALLENTOWN, Pa. - McDaniel College men's basketball freshman
Christian Taylor totaled 11 points and four steals, both career highs in an 80-55 loss at Muhlenberg Saturday.
The first half proved to be the difference as the Green Terror (5-5, 2-3 CC) trailed 43-18 after shooting just 27.6 percent from the floor compared to 60.7 percent for the Mules.
McDaniel missed 11 of their first 12 attempts from the floor and were 1-of-4 from the free throw line in the first 10 minutes as the team trailed 23-5.
The Green Terror played much better in the second half, shooting 41.4 percent from the floor while making all 11 of their free throw attempts.
Taylor scored all of 11 of his points in the second half as McDaniel scored 27 bench points. Freshman
Tyler Bramblett added a career-high six points while freshman
David Kearney had four points and three rebounds.
Kearney finished with a career-high six points.
Both teams managed to score 37 second-half points, despite the Mules shooting 66.7 percent from the field and five three-pointers.
Junior
Jahdel Darego finished with six points and a team-high five rebounds, tying him with junior
Charles Contee.
The Green Terror play the second of back-to-back road games on Tuesday when they travel to Haverford. Game time is at 7 p.m.
