WESTMINSTER, Md. - Johns Hopkins used an 8-0 run late in the fourth quarter to take its largest lead of the game en route to a 55-48 victory over the McDaniel College women's basketball team Thursday night on Rebecca L. Martin Court.
The Green Terror (6-7, 4-4 CC) suffered their first loss at home since Nov. 29, snapping a three-game win streak.

Meggie Burgess led McDaniel with 12 points, including eight of the team's 13 in the fourth quarter. She also added six rebounds. Senior
Mallory Conroy added 10 points and four rebounds.
Following a three-pointer by sophomore
Liliana Overcash with 5:36 remaining in the fourth quarter, the Green Terror trailed 43-40. However, the Blue Jays responded with an 8-0 run to take their largest lead of the game, 51-40 with 1:28 left.
During the run, McDaniel missed all four of its attempts from the floor while Hopkins was 3-for-5 and 2-2 from the free throw line.
The game, which featured five ties and eight lead changes, was tied 35-35 after three, but the Blue Jays (9-4, 6-2 CC) shot 58.3 percent from the floor in the final quarter and was 6-of-6 from the free throw line. Olivia Parisi had eight points and Michaela O'Neil added six as the duo outscored the Green Terror, 14-13.
Conroy scored all 10 of her points in the first half as McDaniel led 25-24 at the break. After Hopkins scored the opening basket of the second, the Green Terror used an 8-1 run, highlighted by four points from freshman
Elaina Beckett, to take their largest lead, 33-27 with 5:17 to play in the third.
Senior
Josey Klingenberg had another strong all-around performance, finishing with seven points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals. Beckett had eight points and Overcash added six.
McDaniel travels to Lancaster, Pennsylvania on Saturday to take on Franklin & Marshall. Tip-off from Mayser Gymnasium is at 1 p.m.
