WESTMINSTER, Md. - The McDaniel College men's basketball team jumped out to an early lead against No. 11 Johns Hopkins, but the Blue Jays rallied to post a 64-45 win Thursday night inside the Gill Center.

Charles Contee added five as McDaniel made 10 of its first 16 attempts from the floor while limiting the Blue Jays to just 3-of-13 shooting with five turnovers.
From there, Johns Hopkins (11-3, 5-2 CC) started to claw its way back into the game. Tom Quarry, who scored 12 on the night, got hot towards the end of the half and pulled the Blue Jays within six at the break, 26-20.
As the second half began, Hopkins picked up where it left off as the visitors outscored the Green Terror 44-19 over the final 20 minutes. The Blue Jays were 16-of-26 from the floor for 61.5 percent and committed just four turnovers while McDaniel was 9-for-27 with nine turnovers which led to 19 points for Hopkins.
The Blue Jays scored 26 of their 44 points in the paint and another nine from the free throw line where they were 9-for-10.
Sujeta led the Green Terror with 17 points as he was the only player in double figures. Contee finished with seven points, five rebounds and five assists.
Quarry had a game-high 18 points for Johns Hopkins while Brian Johansson added 16.
McDaniel returns to action on Saturday at Franklin & Marshall. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
