ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Mules scored twice early against McDaniel and held on for the 3-1 win. 

McDaniel (5-1, 0-1 CC) was pressured early in the first half by Muhlenberg (3-3, 1-0 CC). Chris Richards found an opening early and converted his third goal of the season to put the Mules up by one. The Green Terror struggled to keep possession and only managed one shot in the opening period. In the 23rd minute Taylan Akdag created some space and put one past senior goalkeeper Austin Heid for the second goal of the game.

The Mules kept the momentum going with another goal by Chris Richards in the 50th minute off a pass from Tarin Morris.

With Muhlenberg leading 3-0, McDaniel began to find its footing late in the second half. The Green Terror put together multiple scoring opportunities and had five shots in the final period. In the 88th minute freshman Carver Neary beat his defender at midfield and chipped a perfect volley ahead to fellow freshman Conor O'Brien at the top of the box. O'Brien played it off the bounce and blasted a shot with his left foot into the back of the net for his first goal of the season.

McDaniel returns to action on Monday at Gynedd Mercy. The match is set to begin at 4 P.M.
