McDaniel Posts First Road Win Over Dickinson Since 2009

CARLISLE, Pa. - Two baskets by sophomore Lorin Hall, including one to force overtime, led the McDaniel College men's basketball team to a 58-52 road win over Dickinson Tuesday in its Centennial Conference opener.

The Green Terror (3-1, 1-0 CC) snapped an 11-game losing streak to the Devils and posted their first win at the Kline Center since Dec. 2, 2009.

It was also the first win for McDaniel in a conference opener since a 66-56 victory over Dickinson at home on Nov. 24, 2015.

Holding a 49-47 lead with seven seconds remaining, the Devils (1-4, 0-1 CC) missed two free throw attempts before Hall grabbed the rebound and drove coast-to-coast for the lay-in with two seconds remaining to tie the game and force overtime.

In the extra period, the Green Terror scored the game's final six points to break a 52-52 tie, including a lay-up by Hall with 46 seconds left that put the visitors in front by four. Dickinson missed its next two attempts from the floor before McDaniel sealed the win with two free throws in the final 16 seconds.

Hall finished the game with eight points, seven rebounds and three steals. Freshman Jonas Sujeta recorded his second double double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Carter Truby added nine points and four assists while junior Charles Contee had eight points, four rebounds and three steals. Sophomore Russell Dandridge also had eight points.

Following the Thanksgiving break, the Green Terror will host Gettysburg next Tuesday, Nov. 29. Tip-off is at 8 p.m. following the women's game against the Bullets.
