LANCASTER, Pa. - Led by four saves from graduate student
Katherine Carstensen, the McDaniel College women's soccer team earned a scoreless draw in a key Centennial Conference contest at No. 24 Franklin & Marshall Wednesday night.
The Green Terror (5-2-4, 3-0-2 CC) extended their unbeaten streak to six overall. They are also unbeaten in two of three games against ranked opponents this season, including the Diplomats and No. 1 Christopher Newport.
McDaniel is now unbeaten in its last eight conference contests and is 3-0-2 in its last five against the Diplomats, having outscored them, 9-0.
Carstensen highlighted a defensive effort that withstood 10 second-half shots and limited Franklin & Marshall to just four shots on goal. The Green Terror faced four shots in the game's final six minutes, the last of which was saved by Carstensen.
Emma Nolan also finished with four saves for Franklin & Marshall (6-1-3, 1-1-2 CC), including three in the second half and two in the final 10 minutes.

Kiersten Crowley took shots apiece and were two of six field players who played the entire 90 minutes for the Green Terror.
Following Wednesday's result, McDaniel currently sits alone in second place in the Centennial Conference standings with 11 points, one behind No. 4 Johns Hopkins and one in front of Dickinson, both of whom are its next two opponents.
The Green Terror host Dickinson on Saturday at 4 p.m. on Senior Day.
