McDaniel opened the season at its own Spring Invitational with a pair of golfers competing at The Bridges Golf Club.

THE LEADERS
• Zoey Nichols (Princess Anne, Md./Washington Academy) led the way with a second-place finish, firing a round of 90.

FOR THE FOES
• Ursinus' Jessica Lamarca was the only golfer to best Nichols' score, posting a round of 82.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Daniela Babich (Baltimore, Md./Dulaney) made her collegiate debut with a score of 160.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Zoey Nichols' round of 90 was her lowest collegiate round. The second-place finish was her first career top-5 finish.
• Five of the six teams to compete in the field did not have enough golfers to register a team score.
