THE SKINNY STORY
McDaniel improved its team score over each of the three rounds, including firing the third-lowest round on Tuesday, to finish 10th in a field of 15 that included six top-50 teams. The Green Terror posted a round of 321 on Monday morning before coming back to fire a round of 317 in the afternoon and 303 in the final round on Tuesday to finish with a total score of 941.
THE LEADERS
• Chuck Csejka (Orange, Conn./Amity Regional) finished 11th overall with a score of 227. He carded matching rounds of 77 on Monday before posting a one-over par 73 on Tuesday.
• Ryan McGarry (North Easton, Mass./Oliver Ames) was tied for 12th with a score of 229. He matched Csejka with a score of 73 on Tuesday after registering matching scores of 78 in the two rounds on Monday.
FOR THE FOES
• McMurray won the team title as the only team to break 300 in all three rounds, totaling a score of 884 to top Webster by 14 strokes.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Collin MacDonald (Beverly, Mass./Beverly) was 48th overall with a score of 271. He posted a round of 76 on Tuesday after turning in rounds of 84 and 81 on Monday.
• Christian Garruppo (Hilton Head, S.C./Hilton Head Prep) finished 58th with a score of 246 (84-81-81).
• Kevin Keane (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) was tied for 68th with a score of 253 (82-87-84).
• Adam Gibbs (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox), playing as an individual, was 29th overall with a score of 235 that included posting a round of 74 on Tuesday. He carded rounds of 81 and 80 on Monday.
THE INSIDE STORY
• Chuck Csejka's three-round score of 227 was a career best.
• Ryan McGarry's 54-hole score of 229 was 27 strokes better than his previous collegiate best for a three-round tournament.
