McDaniel took two athletes to the Wilkins Center Invitational hosted by Shenandoah and finished third with 22 points.
THE LEADERS
• Billy Emerson (Germantown, Md./Watkins Mill) won the shot put by nearly two meters, throwing an ECAC-qualifying distance of 14.79 meters. The mark established a Wilkins Center facility record.
• Nevin Stambaugh (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) hit a pair of Centennial Conference qualifiers. After qualifying sixth in the 60 with a time of 7.63 seconds, he finished second in the finals with a personal-best time of 7.53 seconds. He was also fourth in the 60 hurdles with a time of 9.43 seconds.
