McDaniel finished eighth at the Hornet Harrier hosted at Kernstown Battlefield, totaling 214 points in the 6,000-meter race.
THE LEADERS
• Gavin Gibson (Newark, Del./Sanford) crossed the line first once again with a time of 19:31.4.
• Kai Samuels (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) finished 47th with a time of 22:20.7.
FOR THE FOES
• SUNY Poly won the team title with 56 points, edging Lancaster Bible by two points.
THE REST OF THE STORY
• Michael Gallagher (Elko, Nev./Elko) crossed 58th with a time of 22:40.5.
• Cyrus Daroowalla (Westminster, Md./Westminster) was 63rd overall with a time of 22:48.5.
• Miky Kisi (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) rounded out the McDaniel competitors in 73rd place with a time of 23:23.4.
THE INSIDE STORY
• A total of 120 runners competed at the 6,000-meter distance.
• Gavin Gibson won his fourth race in four starts this season.
• Gavin Gibson won by 18 seconds, turning in the Green Terror's fastest 6,000-meter time at Kernstown.
• Kai Samuels' time ranks ninth all-time while Michael Gallgher's time is 10th.
• Cyrus Daroowalla's time ranks 12th all-time.
• All five McDaniel runners turned in a course PR.
