Bridgewater scored a goal in each half to top McDaniel, 2-0.

Paige Ford (Edgewater, Md./South River) made eight saves on the day.
Madison Downey (Millersville, Md./Old Mill) made her first career defensive save.

FOR THE FOES
• Tessa Tierson had a goal and an assist for the Eagles.
• Emily Witzke made four first-half saves in goal.

THE REST OF THE STORY
• Off a corner in the 15th minute, Laura Gretz played a ball to the left that Tessa Tierson fired home for a 1-0 lead.
• Tierson had a breakaway in the 39th minute before crossing to Georgia Howard, who finished for a 2-0 lead.

THE INSIDE STORY
• Bridgewater had a 14-8 advantage in shots and 8-5 edge in penalty corners.
• Each team had a defensive save in the game.
