GREENSBORO, N.C. – Gavin Gibson (Newark, Del./Sanford) won the 34th Annual Greensboro XC Invitational to lead McDaniel to a first-place finish in the Division III section in men's cross country action on Saturday.
Time and Score:
- The Green Terror finished with 45 points. A total of 40 Division III runners competed at the 8,000-meter distance. Lynchburg was second among the six teams with 54 points.
Head of the Class:
- Gavin Gibson turned in a time of 27:01.63 to finish first. It was his fourth individual race win of the season.
Five of a Kind: The following athletes rounded out the Green Terror's finishers:
- Shaun Thompson (Mt. Airy, Md./Glenelg) finished third (28:10.43)
- Cyrus Daroowalla (Westminster, Md./Westminster) finished 12th (31:28.45)
- Kai Samuels (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) finished 15th (31:56.41).
- Miky Kisi (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) finished 16th (32:11.24)
- Ricardo Loyola (Laurel, Md./Reservoir) finished 24th (33:48.68)
