HERSHEY, Pa. – Brian Norwitz (Germantown, Md./Northwest) posted a 36-hole score of 149 to lead McDaniel at the Hershey Cup hosted by Rochester at Hershey County Club in men's golf action on Sunday and Monday.
The Green Terror carded matching rounds of 308 each day to finish with a two-day score of 616 and place fourth overall. Allegheny won the 15-team tournament with a score of 602 (300-302).
Norwitz finished fifth overall, posting a round of 74 on Monday after carding a round of 75 over the first 18 holes.
Brandon Vance (Worcester, Md./Methacton) and Kevin Keane (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) each turned in 36-hole scores of 157, carding matching rounds of 76 on Sunday and matching rounds of 81 on Monday. The duo was part of a tie for 32nd place.
Shawn MacBurnie (Beverly, Mass./St. Mary's Lynn) and Christian Garruppo (Hilton Head, S.C./Hilton Head Prep) each had scores of 158 to finish tied for 41st. MacBurnie improved four strokes from round one to round two, posting rounds of 81 and 77, respectively. Garruppo had a six-shot turnaround, improving from an 82 to a 76.
Matt Cramer (New Market, Md./Oakdale) played as an individual, finishing with a score of 175 (88-87) to place 84th..
McDaniel returns to action at the Fred Kravetz Invitational hosted by Rochester at Irondequoit and Oak Hill on Friday and Saturday, Apr. 14-15. Tee times begin at 9:30 on Friday.
