ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Meg Schlesinger (Frederick, Md./Urbana) fired a round of 86 to lead McDaniel to a third-place finish at the Gettysburg Spring Invitational in women's golf action on Saturday.
The Green Terror carded a round of 367 on a short, water-logged Hanover Country Club. Gettysburg carded a round of 325 to win the invitational, which featured six complete teams.
Schlesinger finished tied for seventh overall with her round of 86.
Kelsey Kirkman (Chesapeake, Va./Norfolk Academy) finished 14th overall with a score of 92 while Janine Borrelli (Rockville, Md./St. John's College) was 18th with a score of 93.
Casey Marson (Norwich, N.Y./Norwich) finished 22nd overall with a score of 96 while Alex Philo (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) rounded out the competitors with a round of 99 to finish 27th.
McDaniel returns to action at the Stevenson Invitational on Monday.
