ITHACA, N.Y. – Gavin Gibson (Newark, Del./Sanford) finished third with a program record in the 1000 to lead McDaniel at the 2017 ECAC men's indoor track and field championship hosted by Ithaca on Friday and Saturday.

Scoring:

• The Green Terror finished tied for 31st with six points. Rowan won the team title among the 42 teams that scored points with 115 points.

Precious Medals: The following athletes earned a medal at the championship:

• Gavin Gibson earned bronze in the 1000 with his time of 2:33.58.

Making a Point: The following athletes earned points at the meet:

• The 4x800-meter relay of Gavin Gibson, Jim Heilman (Lutherville, Md./Baltimore Lutheran), Will Greene (Westminster, Md./Delone Catholic) and Shaun Thompson (Mt. Airy, Md./Glenelg) finished fifth with a time of 8:08.86.

Record Setter: The following athletes established a new program record at the meet:

• Gavin Gibson set a new program record in the 1000 with a time of 2:33.58.

Top of His Game: The following athletes turned in a personal-best performance at the meet:
