MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – Meg Schlesinger (Frederick, Md./Urbana) finished with a round of 95 to lead McDaniel to a third-place finish at the Myrtle Beach Shootout at Barefoot Golf Resort in women's golf action on Wednesday.
The Green Terror posted a round of 388 in gusty winds. Denison won the five-team invitational with a score of 371, edging SUNY Cortland by two strokes.
Schlesinger finished tied for seventh in the field while Casey Marson (Norwich, N.Y./Norwich) posted a round of 96 to finish 10th.
Kelsey Kirkman (Chesapeake, Va./Norfolk Academy) was tied for 12th with a score of 97.
Alex Philo (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) finished 15th with a score of 100 while Janine Borrelli (Rockville, Md./St. John's College) was 16th with a round of 103.
McDaniel returns to action at its own spring invitational at The Bridge Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday, Mar. 25-26. Tee times begin at 8:30 a.m. both days.
