MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Gavin Gibson (Newark, Del./Sanford) finished third to lead McDaniel to a second-place finish at the Bud Smitely Invitational hosted by Penn State-Harrisburg in men's cross country action on Friday.

Time and Score:

• The Green Terror finished second with 50 points. A total of 21 runners competed at the 5,000-meter distance. Lebanon Valley won the meet with 19 points.

Head of the Class:

• Gavin Gibson turned in a time of 17:32.9 to finish third.

Five of a Kind: The following athletes rounded out the Green Terror's finishers:

• Alex Panagakos (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) finished ninth (19:14.7)
• Cyrus Daroowalla (Westminster, Md./Westminster) finished 10th (19:35.3)
• Miky Kisi (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) finished 13th (19:52.5)
• Wade Bishop (Greensboro, Md./North Caroline) finished 16th (21:18.6)
