GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Brandon Vance (Worcester, Pa./Methacton) carded an even-par 71 to lead McDaniel to a third-place finish at the Gettysburg Fall Invitational in men's golf action on Saturday.

The Green Terror posted a round of 307 to finish one stroke behind Lebanon Valley and Gettysburg. With the top two teams both carding scores of 306, the Flying Dutchmen edged the Bullets for the team title when the fifth cards were compared for the team tiebreaker.

Vance won the invitational by three strokes with his low round of the fall.

Brian Norwitz (Germantown, Md./Northwest) finished fifth overall with a round of 76 while Mason Woolford (Pasadena, Md./Severna Park) finished 13th with a score of 78.

Kevin Keane (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) and Shawn MacBurnie (Beverly, Mass./St. Mary's Lynn) rounded out the McDaniel competitors with rounds of 82 and 84, respectively.

Christian Garruppo (Hilton Head, S.C./Hilton Head Prep) posted a round of 79, playing as individual, to finish 17th while Matt Cramer (New Market, Md./Oakdale) was also in the field as an individual, finishing with a round of 82.

McDaniel returns to action at its own Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic at The Bridges Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. both days.
