ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. – Meg Schlesinger (Frederick, Md./Urbana) fired a 79 to finish in a tie for the low individual, leading McDaniel at its own fall invitational at The Bridges Golf Club in women's golf action on Saturday.
The Green Terror posted a score of 346 as a team to finish fourth. Gettysburg won the seven-team invitational with a round of 328.
Schlesinger made her collegiate debut in McDaniel's first action of the season. The freshman tied with two other players but lost out on individual medalist honors on a match of cards. Muhlenberg's Aine Filler was crowned champion. Stevenson's Morgan Wirtz also posted a 79.
Alex Philo (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville Area) finished 13th individually with a round of 88 while Casey Marson (Norwich, N.Y./Norwich) posted a score of 89 to finish 16th.
Kelsey Kirkman (Chesapeake, Va./Norfolk Academy) finished 18th with a round of 90 while Janine Borrelli (Rockville, Md./St. John's College) rounded out the Green Terror competitors with a score of 97 to finish 30th.
McDaniel returns to action at the Susquehanna Invitational on Sunday.
