WESTMINSTER, Md. – Shaun Thompson (Mt. Airy, Md./Glenelg) won the 3,000-meter race to lead McDaniel at its own Green Terror Challenge in men's cross country action on Saturday.
Time and Score:
- The Green Terror was the only complete team at the 3K distance (12 runners). In the 5,000-meter race, three teams ran complete. McDaniel won with 14 points (23 runners).
Heads of the Class:
- Shaun Thompson won the 3,000-meter race with a time of 10:14.01.
- Jim Heilman (Lutherville, Md./Baltimore Lutheran) led the way in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 17:14.88 to finish second.
Five of a Kind: The following athletes rounded out the scoring four in the 3K race:
- Will Greene (Westminster, Md./Delone Catholic) finished second (10:22.09)
- Alex Panagakos (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) finished fourth (11:12.58)
- Miky Kisi (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) finished fifth (11:18.58)

- Jim Heilman Jim Heilman bettered his previous best on the 5K course by 15 seconds and ranks fourth on the list (17:15.88)
